Getting here
Roi Et is about 512 kilometers from Bangkok. The best and most convenient
route is to leave Bangkok along toward Nakhon Ratchasima, making a
turn in Ban Phai toward Maha Sarakham and finally Roi Et. It should
be a journey of six-seven hours.
From the Northeast Bus Terminal (Mo Chit)there are several ordinary
and air-conditioned buses going to Roi Et. For ordinary bus and air-conditioned
buses one can contact the Transport Company Limited at Tel. (662)
936-0657. From Roi Et Province, the bus leaves Roi Et Terminal at
Thanon Thawa Phiban, Tel. (043) 511939, 512546.
There is also an airport in roiet. PB Air flies one flight daily from Bangkok to Roi Et. For more details, call the Bangkok office at Tel. 0 2261 0220, 0 2535 4843-4 or Roi Et office at Tel. 0 4351 9577, 0 4351 2835 or browse www.pbair.com. Roi Et Airport is about 18 km. from the city. A shuttle bus from the airport to the city is available.

A new International airport called Suvarnabhumi airport replaces
Don Muang International airport. The construction started in 2002
and the opening of the new airport was scheduled on 29th september
2005 but has been delayed many times. It opened on september
28th 2006.
Located about 25km east of Bangkok (Samut Prakarn province)
there will be a fast connection with the city center both with a new
highway and Mass Rapid Transport (skytrain in under construction now).
